U.S. Statistics by State

Cartographic Focus: This map explores data classification and color scheme selection for choropleth mapping. I applied different classification methods to four variables based on their statistical characteristics, including unique values, natural breaks, equal intervals, and standard deviation. Each classification was paired with an appropriate color scheme to clearly communicate differences in the data, including sequential schemes for graduated values and a diverging scheme to highlight values above and below the mean.
